Blog post 10

As a teacher, I plan to use data collection surveys as a check in with the students. A few times a semester, I would send out a google survey to check how my students are feeling. These questions would relate to class material as well as how they're doing personally. There would be an option to make the submission anonymous or share their name. I honestly think this is important for every subject and grade level, but I want to teach high school English so I would relate it to the course.

From looking at the classroom blogs, I enjoyed seeing everyone's assignments, such as the website design and the newsletter. It was fun seeing how creative everyone was. These were helpful to see as I got a lot of ideas from them. I think it was a good idea to allow students to interact with different blogs and learn from them.

I got the tech flex badge for having a teacher bio on my blog. Funny enough, I didn't write this bio for this class. I also use blogger for a professional portfolio I've used on job applications. I wish I could've done more tech flex badges, as I think they were very beneficial. Overall, I was happy to see that I accomplished one!

I want to learn more about modern technology skills that students will especially appreciate. For example, I thought the bitmoji classroom was a cute assignment in the professional portfolio. I've seen that a lot of teachers use bitmoji with the classroom, and I think it's a great idea. It comes education with trends that kids stay updated with to create an authentic and lighthearted environment.
