The web design assignment helped me recognize the things I would value as a teacher, specifically the wellbeing of my students especially and the details that go behind it. The physical environment you're in plays a major role in how you're feeling, so small things like color scheme and motivational posters can play a big role. Even the layout of the classroom can impact the way students learn and how they feel about learning. https://afeelforeducation.weebly.com

Diigo is a well developed resource for student learning and comprehension. It allows students to be creative, collaborate and use critical thinking by looking through the different resources and finding their own resources. I would absolutely use Diigo in my classroom. I think it could be a fun for big assignments or even small assignments or bell ringers. For example, students could be assigned to find an article that fits a prompt by the beginning of a class- at the start of class, the students would participate in a discussion on their findings.

Teachers have a responsibility to keep track of education trends and how they positively and negatively affect students. Certain websites can be highly beneficial and credible, while others can impact the brain in ways that students will not learn. A lot of technology is also geared toward keeping students engaged (or the opposite) so using software to the direct advantage of the student is in the best interest of learning. A website I found that would be helpful for teachers is elearning industry- it has lots of articles on the latest educational technology trends. https://elearningindustry.com
